Consulting Experience
Steve is an innovative, entrepreneurial business and information systems professional with over twenty-five years experience in planning and implementing information technology solutions for organizations of all types and sizes. He has market proven expertise in developing and implementing business and marketing, technology, and process strategies to reduce costs, increase revenues, and improve organizational performance. He has led development teams that have implemented systems ranging in complexity from the selection and replacement of an AMS system, to the architecting and redesign of multi-terabyte operational and analytical databases, and the planning and development of consumer and business focused web sites and applications.
Prior to joining Tecker Consultants Steve was the Chief Information Officer for the Direct Marketing Association where he was responsible for all of DMA's technology assets including their infrastructure, social media, internet, and applications development. He was the technology leader of the team that developed their web-based consumer preference service DMAchoice. Steve also spent several years in a variety of technology positions at AT&T including architecture and development functions in the Consumer, Business Services, and Network Service lines of the business. Steve left as the Director of Systems Strategy and Process Innovation where he was responsible for helping to plan and implement the launch of cable telephony services for its AT&T Broadband (now Comcast) cable unit.
Steve is bottom-line results oriented and offers a unique combination of strategic thinking, leadership, technology and marketing skills to guide organizations into identifying and implementing strategies and plans to take advantage of technology and process improvement opportunities. A trained facilitator and speaker Steve has taught graduate level courses in technology planning and implementation
Education and Professional Involvements
Steve holds a BS degree in CIS and Finance as well as an MBA in Marketing and MIS from Manhattan College, an MSE in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
